Customer Issue
On my daily report, I’ve been getting this recurring message: "Emails value has already been taken. That email belongs to an employee who is registered and active on our site."

Issue Details
The user sync report returns an error like "Emails value [email] has already been taken." The email address in question belongs to an existing account which has the same name, email and universal identifier as the uploaded record, and yet an error is returned and the user's data is not updated. The existing user was created when the user signed in via SSO or registered with their email address.
Resolution
Users returning this error will continue to have access to the app and website, but custom attributes will not be updated which may have an impact on content targeting. The user's account can be forgotten and recreated to populate custom attributes.
