We’re working on custom roles here and are unsure of the the differences between the below toggles as they relate to bulk imports? 

People >
Add Users
Add and invite new members to the community, individually or via bulk import.

Configure >
Content
Manage content settings including topics, initiatives, feeds, aliases, and user imports and exports

Environment

• Creator Studio | Configure | Roles

Issue Details

When a user has just the Configure > Content permission, they cannot add users with bulk import (receive a 500 error).

When a user has just the People > Add Users permission, they cannot add users with bulk import (receive a 403 error)

Also, when a user has the People > Add Users and Configure > Content permission but not the Create Audiences permission, they are still able to create an invite audience using bulk import. 

Resolution

As it stands, having a custom role with both Configure > Content and People > Add Users will allow the ability to use Bulk Import successfully. We have reached out to our Engineering team on the above errors for review.
