Use the Comments Overview report in Insights to understand how often users are commenting, what content is receiving comments, and who is commenting the most at the segment or individual level.
Refer to the Glossary of Terms for details on the metrics included in this report.
Filters
- Date Range - The date range of activity. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Topics - Filter comments by selected topics. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Initiatives - Filter comments by initiatives. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Publisher - Filter campaign data by the user who created content. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Author Alias - Filter campaign data by the selected author alias from the campaign delivery. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- View By - This filter is applied to the 'Comments By Segment' data. Display audience engagement by User Attributes, Time, Content Attributes, or Usage Attributes.
- Content Type - This filter is applied to all data in this report except the 'Top Posts By Comment Rate' data. Display content type by image, article, link, note, or video.
- Table Limit - Limit the number of table rows to the set value.
- Content Source Type - Filter by content created via Studio or submitted via the member experience.
- View By Min Threshold - This filter is applied to the 'Comments by Segment' data and filters by the set value.
- User Attributes - Filter comment data by specific user attributes. Ex. Filtering by 'City' will return data only for users in that city.
Limitation Note: When filtering by User Attributes > Select All, each attribute value is pulled into the URL once the report is filtered. Due to URL limitations, filtering by attributes with a very large number of values may return a 414 error.

View All Comments by a Person
You may want to audit all comments made by an individual. To do this:
- Check when the user registered their account by opening their account in People.
- Update the date range for the Comment Overview report with the date the person registered (or earlier) as the start date.
- Download the Top Viewers by Comment Rate table and confirm that the person has made at least 1 comment.
- If the person has made at least 1 comment sort the Latest Comments table by commenter name. It may be easiest to export the Latest Comments table using the download button in the top right of the table, and filter by commenter name in another community.
