This report summary provides a high-level view of metrics from campaigns, initiatives, and your community as a centralized dashboard view.
The Executive Summary Dashboard allows you to compare metrics, such as engagement data, with previous months. Additional filters let you focus on specific data sets, such as viewing and comparing campaign engagement data by user departments.
Filters
- Time Range - Select the time range for the main dashboard report. The End date shows the dashboard metrics from that time period. The Start date shows comparison data from that time range in selected reports. For example, Time Range: January 2025 vs. November 2024 shows metrics for January 2025 and a percentage increase/decrease compared to November 2024.
- Audience - Filter the data by a selected audience.
- Topic - Filter the data by a selected topic.
- User Department - Filter the data by a selected user department. A user's department is a user attribute that you provide via SFTP, SSO, or API. Filter results may be affected if this data has not been set up.

FAQ
The page keeps loading after I click 'Apply', but it doesn’t go anywhere. What’s going on?
The issue is likely related to Tableau user permissions and license provisioning. Typically, Executive Summary Dashboard (ESD) loads its first tab within 10 seconds. Insights+ products, including ESD, require each client user to be assigned a Tableau user license where access is not preemptively granted. A user’s Tableau license is provisioned upon their first visit to an Insights+ product. As a result, first-time users may experience a wait time of up to 15 minutes while the background licensing process completes.
I've selected an audience from the audience filter, but the dashboard shows no data. Why?
There are multiple possible reasons for this. Let me explain: For an audience to appear in the Executive Summary Dashboard (ESD) reporting, it must be explicitly included, saved, and targeted in at least one campaign during the selected time period. If an audience was not used in any campaign during that time, its members, despite receiving communications, will not be reflected in ESD reporting. Additionally, Firstup does not retain audience and targeted user data from before February 19, 2025, when ESD was launched for most customers. This means that even if an audience was targeted by past campaigns, data from before this date is unavailable for reporting.
My user funnel data in Executive Summary Dashboard (ESD) is different from the one in the Community Overview report. Particularly, when removing all filters in the Community Over report, 'Reached Users' in ESD is 250, whereas that in the Community Overview report is 249. What caused the discrepancy?
Both reports reference the same data sources; however, ESD applies stricter criteria to exclude ineligible users, such as blocked users. If a user was blocked at any point in the past and never explicitly unblocked, ESD will treat them as blocked—regardless of their current status—and exclude them from reporting, whereas our Metabase reporting only refers to the current user status.
