Connect Firstup to your Workday HRIS system for seamless access to essential HR data directly within your Firstup web and mobile experience.
The Workday productivity integration streamlines employee access to important HR information by securely pulling Workday data into Firstup, eliminating the need for additional logins. Employees can easily view payroll details, time-off balances, and submit absence requests, all in one convenient location.
With just a few clicks, employees can quickly access what they need anytime, anywhere. By keeping this information within Firstup, organizations empower their workforce to stay informed and engaged, enhancing both convenience and overall satisfaction.
With the Workday productivity integration:
- Admins can easily enable the integration through self-service options. With detailed, step-by-step guides, configuration is simple and straightforward. Refer to our Enabling Workday Integration for guidance.
- Once enabled, users gain instant access to their pay slip information directly within Firstup without the need to log in to Workday.
- Users can also view time-off requests, approval statuses, and current balances, all based on the time-off options configured in Workday.
- Users can submit absence requests directly from the member experience, with immediate visibility and real-time status updates from Workday.
User Access
There are two ways users can access Workday integration directly from the web or mobile experience:
- From Assistant, locate the Workday integration.
- Directly from Shortcuts at the top of the web or mobile experience. The app's title is configurable and may be named differently in your community:
Available User Commands
The list of available commands will differ depending on the user's role within your community.
Absence Requests
View your absence requests directly from the member experience.
See all requests from the past 12 months, real-time status updates (e.g. Submitted, Approved, Declined) pulled directly from Workday, multi-day requests grouped into a single entry for easier viewing
Note: Consecutive days are grouped into a single request.
Your request appears instantly with a Syncing… indicator. Once syncing completes, it displays as a normal request with its current status.
My Payslips
Access your payslips directly from the web or mobile experience. You can view your payslips by:
- Most recent.
- Last 12 months.
- Month to date.
Request Absence
Request absence directly from the member experience.
To request a time of absence:
- Access Workday from either the shortcuts tray on your member experience home page, or by the Assistant.
- Select Request Absence. Note: You are required to be logged into Workday, and have your account connected to see this command.
- Select the absence start date and end date from the date picker, or by typing the dates in, then Continue.
- Select the absence type, then Submit.
Your request is immediately sent to Workday. It appears at the top of your list right away with a Syncing… status. Once processed, the request updates to its current status (e.g. Submitted, Approved)
Multi-day requests are submitted as individual days but displayed as a single grouped request. Each day may be approved or declined separately by your manager.
Note: Absence types are dependent on your organization. Time off types are, for example, paid time off, annual leave, bereavement leave, etc.
Time Off Balance
View your time off balance and approved time off requests directly from the web or mobile experience.
The approved requests show the number of hours approved and the time off type.
