When users click on the join now link in their email invite, they may receive the following error: Token expired or account not found.

It occurs when more than 24 hours has passed between the invitation being sent and the user attempts to join the community and complete their registration.

Root Cause & Resolution

As of October 4th, 2023 tokens used for invitation emails now have a maximum duration they are valid of 24 hours.  Concurrently with the release, all outstanding tokens associated with invitations were intentionally invalidated to help enforce this new timing.
