Following best practices for mobile app use can help you enhance performance, protect your privacy, and make the most of your member experience. This article outlines key tips to ensure your Firstup mobile app usage is smart, secure, and sustainable.
Note: Dark mode isn’t currently supported in the Firstup mobile app or in mobile web. While dark mode itself isn’t a required accessibility feature, we continue to prioritize accessibility improvements across the platform to ensure an inclusive experience for all users.
Mobile App Login (iOS/Android)
What to expect:
- You log in once and your session starts.
- After 24 hours, the app may still keep you signed in if your session is quietly refreshed in the background.
- When you open the app with Face ID or PIN, it unlocks access and may silently log you back in using stored credentials.
- If you use the app often, your session may continue longer thanks to sliding expiration, which resets the timer with each use.
Quick Use and Login Experience
| What You Do | What to Expect |
| Open the app with Face ID or PIN | Instantly unlocks the app; may refresh your session automatically |
| Use the app regularly | Session may stay active longer (sliding expiration resets the timer) |
| Haven't opened the app in a day | May still be signed in—session refresh may happen quietly |
| See the login screen | Sign in again through the secure login page |

Switching Networks (Wi-Fi ↔ Cellular)

Face ID/Touch ID Behavior
