The Open in web experience to view link is a preset hyperlink that takes members to their member experience from an email campaign.
Because this is preset, you do not need to set the URL. This block also has preset visibility settings, meaning it only appears in email campaigns and is automatically hidden from the member experience and the web on mobile browsers.
However, these settings and the hyperlink text can be customized. Editing the visibility settings means your hyperlink appears in each enabled channel. For example, the preset has all channels except email disabled, which means the block only appears in an email. The URL, however, cannot be edited and always links users to the web experience.
Before You Start
This article assumes you are signed in to Creator Studio, have a role with permissions to create and edit campaigns, and have an understanding of creating campaigns. It also assumes you have an audience(s) to deliver to.
Create an Email Link Block
This block allows members to select a hyperlink reading Open in web experience to view. This hyperlink is already set to link members to your member experience.
- From a campaign:
- For a blank campaign, click + Add block to choose from a selection of content blocks.
- For a template or existing campaign, hover over where you want to add the email link block and click the + sign.
- From the block library, select Links, then from the options select the Open in web experience to view block.
- From the Design panel, edit the Style of your block.
- By default, the Visibility Settings in the Section panel are set to show this block only in email. This default setting prevents your email block link from appearing in the member experience.
Note: The low block visibility warning appears because email is the only channel selected.
- On the Design page, edit the campaign Cover, view the Preview for your desired channel/s, and send a test campaign.
Note: For unpublished campaigns, you will not be able to preview the campaign in the member experience by clicking/tapping on this block in a test email.

- Complete your campaign, including all of the Deliver settings.
- Select Review in the bottom right corner to review your campaign summary and projected delivery.
- Schedule and click Publish to publish the campaign, or Content Creators can save the campaign as a draft for review by selecting the Save icon at the top right.
Customize the Email Link Block
Edit the text and/or the visibility settings to customize this block. For example, change the text to open in browser, and change the visibility settings to show on iOS, Android, Email, and Microapps.
Note: All text in the block remains a hyperlink.
- To edit the text, click on the text to activate the block.
- To change the visibility settings, select the Section panel.
Link Behavior
- On desktop: Clicking the link takes you directly to the post in the member experience. If you are not signed in, you will be prompted to sign in first. After signing in, you will be redirected to the post.
- On mobile: Tapping the link in an email opens the post in the mobile app. If you’re not signed in, you will be prompted to sign in to the app. Once signed in, you will be taken directly to the post.
What Members See
The following is an example of what members might see when using the default Visibility Settings.
Members see all of the campaign blocks, including the email link block (Show in Email visibility setting enabled).
Member Experience
Members do not see the email link block (show on iOS, show on Android, show on web, show in microapps visibility settings disabled).
