This article reviews how to create and manage campaigns enabled as Featured from Creator Studio.
Featuring content raises the visibility of your important campaign. We recommend featuring 3-5 campaigns per week as this keeps the featured feed fresh and encourages your users to explore content outside the topics that they are following.
Examples of good content to feature: product launches, content created by leadership, or emergency information.
Feature a Campaign
In Creator Studio, content can be featured in the Deliver settings for a campaign. Any user with access to the Deliver page in Creator Studio can set campaigns as featured.
In order to enable the Featured setting for a campaign, at least one topic must be targeted in the Feed settings.
To enable the Featured setting, just select the checkbox next to Include in Featured. Any content can be featured, regardless of content type or source.
Customize Featured Card Labels
You can customize the featured card label to give your users a quick visual clue for why a post is important. After sliding the featured setting to on, click to customize the wording.
When setting a custom card label, you can select from any of the preset labels or type in your own manual label. Manual featured labels can not be saved. Note that all preset labels are automatically localized for international users (ie translated automatically), but manual labels are not. Featured labels cannot be referred to in reports.
Exclude a Campaign from Featured
If the Include in Featured checkbox is unchecked in Creator Studio at any time, the content will no longer appear in the Featured feed. It will appear in the Latest feed. This may be desired if your campaign contains language that is hard to automatically translate such as a large amount of industry-specific vocabulary.
While editing a campaign in Creator Studio, in Deliver, navigate to the Feed settings. Uncheck the checkbox next to Include in Featured and publish the campaign.
What Members See
When a piece of content is featured, several things happen in the member experience.
The content card will appear in the Featured feed of all users with access to the content (Featured tab on the mobile app, Featured feed of the home page of the web experience). This means that a user may see a campaign from a topic that they are not following - as long as that topic is open to all users or the user is included in the targeting of the campaign's topic.
Issue Note: In the web experience, the Featured section will be hidden from view when there are not 3+ pieces of featured content.
Featured content can also appear in the Latest feed if a member is following the topic that the featured content was published to. This means that an individual user may see the post in both their Latest feed and the Featured feed.
A special 'Featured' label will be shown on the content card wherever it appears, including the latest feed or featured feed.
