For You is a special section in the mobile app and web experience (Creator Studio users only). It serves as a “container” for content published to an audience but not to a topic. This means communicators no longer need to create a topic just to make content visible in a feed—ideal for one-time or ad-hoc campaigns.
Where Content Appears
Content appears either in a topic feed (and Latest/Featured/Trending if the user follows that topic) or in For You—never both.
To appear in For You, a campaign must have an audience.
If content has both an audience and a topic, the topic takes priority. In this case, users who are in the audience but not in the topic won’t see it in For You.
Even if a user is not following a topic, if they have access to it, the content will appear in that topic’s feed instead of For You.
Notifications
Users in the target audience will also receive a campaign notification via email or Notification Center, or Notification Center and push, depending on the campaign's Deliver settings.
How For You Content Behaves
Once in For You, a post behaves like regular content. It will only disappear if:
The campaign is archived
The assigned audience is removed
A topic is added (in which case it moves to Latest/Featured/Trending via that topic)
Audience Changes
If users are removed from the audience, they will continue to see the content in For You unless the campaign is re-published from Creator Studio (Review tab).
If users are added to the audience, they will only gain visibility of the campaign via its topics, if any were assigned.
-
If a communicator republishes, all changes apply retroactively—meaning:
Removed users lose access.
Newly added users gain access, even though they were not in the original audience at the time of publish.
Because of this, re-publishing is generally not recommended unless necessary.
What Members See
Web Experience
For You is always available on the web through the stack icon. A feed will only appear on the homepage if there is at least one piece of content to populate the feed. If you have Custom Homepage, you can control the For You order just like the other feeds.
Mobile App
For You is a new tab in the mobile experience - scroll to the far right when looking at Latest, Featured, and Trending. In the mobile app, the tab will display even if there is no content.
