Generate print-ready PDF versions of campaigns for offline sharing, printing, review, or compliance purposes. Each exported PDF includes the full campaign content along with traceability details such as the export date and time, the name of the person who generated the export, and a QR code that links directly to the live campaign in the mobile app
PDF exports help ensure important messages remain accessible to employees who rely on printed materials or have limited access to digital channels.
- One-click PDF download: Generate printable PDFs directly from campaigns.
- Print-optimized layout: The PDF is formatted for clarity and readability while preserving the campaign's content and structure.
- Flexible distribution: Print or share PDFs externally for bulletin boards, handouts, meetings, or other offline communication needs.
- Traceability: Each PDF includes the export date and time, the name of the person who generated the export, and a QR code that links back to the live campaign.

Manage Campaign PDF Export Settings
Brand Super Admins and custom roles with Campaign Settings permissions can manage campaign PDF export settings in Creator Studio, providing centralized control over whether campaign communications can be exported as PDFs.
If PDF export is enabled for the community, content creators can then enable PDF exports for individual campaigns on the Deliver page.
- Navigate to Configure > Content > Campaign Settings.
- Click Edit Settings.
- Configure the Campaign PDF Exports settings:
Note: For new communities, the start state will be the first toggle ON and the second toggle OFF.

Enable PDF exports for all campaigns: This controls whether the PDF Export feature is enabled across the entire communirty for all campaigns.
- If ON, the PDF export feature is enabled across the entire community for all campaigns.
- If OFF, the PDF export feature is disabled across the entire community for all campaigns.
-
Default PDF export status for all campaign posts: This controls the default value of PDF exports on the Deliver page, when creating new campaigns.
- If the default value is ON, the PDF export button is visible and ON for all new campaigns on the Deliver page.
-
If the default value is OFF, the PDF export button is visible and OFF on all new campaigns on the Deliver page. Campaign creators must toggle the Allow exporting as a PDF box on each specific campaign.
-

Export a Campaign PDF
All users can export campaign PDFs from the member experience.
- Open the campaign in the member experience on the web.
- Click Export PDF.
The system generates a printer-friendly PDF that you can print or save. Anyone with the printed PDF can scan the included unique QR code to open the live campaign in the mobile app.
Note: The QR code is supported on iOS and Android devices and requires the Firstup mobile app and appropriate access to the campaign. If you do not have the mobile app downloaded, the QR code scan will direct you to the login page on a browser app (e.g., Safari/Google Chrome)
How Dynamic Content is Handled
PDF exports render campaign content the same way as the campaign's email version. Because the export is generated from the member web experience, the PDF reflects the version of the campaign currently visible to the user. For example, if the campaign uses Audience Block Targeting or other personalized content, the exported PDF will contain the version that the user is eligible to view.
Insights
PDF export activity is also reflected in the following Insights reports so Creator Studio admins can understand how content is being shared and used beyond the digital channels:
Campaign Results Summary
Campaign Performance report
Community Overview report
Executive Summary Dashboard
Direct Data Exports
PDF export metrics include:
- For a single campaign, the Total # PDF Exports = Total # of unique users who exported the campaign as a PDF.
- For each user in campaign activity, the PDF Export column = a boolean YES or NO to indicate whether this user exported the campaign as a PDF at least once.
- PDF export is one factor in the calculation for the engagement metrics across all Insights reports.
