Note: This article only applies to Brand Super Admins or applicable custom roles. For more details on Studio access, please refer to the Defining Roles and Restrictions article.
This article will review how to create a specific example of a custom role: say you have an IT Administrator who needs access just to help configure your security settings, branding, and microapps. This role does not need access to any other area of Studio. Let's review how you might create this particular custom role!

- Sign in to Studio as a Brand Super Admin.
- Navigate to Configure > Roles.
- Click the + Role button.
- Name the custom role 'IT Admin' and give it a description such as "A role for IT to access and configure the security settings and branding, but not access any other areas of Studio."
- Scroll down to the Configure toggle, enable Configure and then Security and Experience.
- Save the role.
Your custom role will now be displayed on the roles page, and can be assigned to one or more users from the People page.
When the IT Admin signs in, they will only see the Configure > Administration and Configure > Security sections, just as you configured using the toggles.
