This article will review how to create a specific example of a custom role: say you have an analyst who only needs access to campaign metrics. This role does not need access to any other area of Studio other than Insights. Let's review how you might create this particular custom role!
- Sign in to Studio.
- Navigate to Configure > Roles.
- Click the + Role button.
- Name the custom role 'Analyst' and give it a description such as "A role for analysts to access Insights, but not access any other areas of Studio."
- Scroll down to the Insights toggle, enable Insights and then All Reports.
- Save the role.
Your custom role will now be displayed on the roles page, and can be assigned to one or more users from the People page.
When analysts sign in, they will only see the Insights section, just as you configured using the toggles.
