Use the Publishers Overview report in Insights to get a look at overall publisher activity and locate trends in behavior.

Filters
- Date Range - The date range of published data. This filter restricts the data displayed. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Publisher Activity Date - The date range for when campaigns were published. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Publisher - Filter campaign data by the user who created content. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Author Alias - Filter campaign data by the selected author alias from the campaign delivery. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Initiatives - Filter by initiatives. This filter is applied to all data in this report.

Topics - Filter by selected topics. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Published Date - The date campaigns were published. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- View Time By - This filter is applied to the 'Publishers and Average Posts Trend' and 'Publishing Activity Details' data.
- Content Type - This filter is applied to all data in this report and displays data by content type, such as articles only or articles with images.

View By Reach Threshold - This filter is applied to the 'Usage Details' data. It filters the data by the set number minimum of reached users.

User Attributes - Filter publisher data by specific user attributes. Ex. Filtering by 'City' will return data only for publishers in that city.
Limitation Note: When filtering by User Attributes > Select All, each attribute value is pulled into the URL once the report is filtered. Due to URL limitations, filtering by attributes with a very large number of values may return a 414 error.

Here is a map of how to read the Publishers Overview report:
Publishers Total authors (users who created content in Creator Studio or the member experience) in the selected date range Is this a good number for active publishers in the time frame selected? Should you encourage your publishers to contribute more or more often? |
Total Sessions A measure of the total number of publisher sessions (sessions begin when a user takes any in-platform action, such as launching the mobile app, loading the feed, etc.) How active are your publishers? |
Posts with Impressions The number of posts with views in the selected date range Use the ‘Publish Date’ filter to limit this report to only posts published during a given period. Compare this number to the number for similar time frames. Are the numbers consistent? Could they be higher? How can you repeat the success of high impressions or avoid a repeat of low impressions?

Reached Users Unique users who saw at least one post How many users are your publishers reaching? How many users are your publishers reaching? Essentially, how many impressions are your publishers generating? An impression is a predecessor to the user engaging with the content. Should your publishers be reaching more users? Consider the content. Are publishers creating engaging content that is intriguing to users? Would this number be higher if publishers were contributing more often or if you had more active publishers? |
Publishers and Active Posts Trend A measure of the average number of posts per publisher Use the 'View Time By' filter to sort the table by time frame. What is the publishing trend for the time frame selected? How many publishers are publishing each month/day/quarter/week/? How many posts is each publisher contributing? |
Publishing Activity Details Another view of the Publishers and Active Posts Trends graph What is the average number of posts per publisher in the time frame selected? Would you expect this number to be higher? If so, what can you do to increase publishing? Daily/weekly newsletters?

Publisher Activity by Hour of Day (PST) A measure of publisher activity by hour of day What time of day are your publishers most active? When are they creating content? Publishing content? Do any of these times need to shift? To earlier or later? Would publishers reach more users if they published at a different time of day? |

Publisher Activity A measure of publisher activity at the individual user level Who are your most active publishers? How do they encourage engagement? Do they feature a lot of posts? Allow sharing? How many topics are they reaching? |
Usage Details Overall metrics for content by usage categories Of the users who are seeing the publishers’ content, how many are intrigued enough to actually open the content to read more? If these numbers are low, why? Do they need more interesting cover images or better descriptions? |
