Use the Advocacy report in Insights to understand how your content is being externally shared. This report includes what campaigns are shared, who is sharing them, which applications people use to share them, and the general volume of shared campaigns.
Gain further advocacy insights of specific campaigns by using the All Filters > Content filter.

Note: This article is based on the most up-to-date versions. If you have opted out of the latest available Insights reports you may have different default filters and report map.
Filters
- Date Range - The date range for campaign data. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Topics - Filter the shared campaign data by selected topics. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Publisher - Filter data by the user who published the original content. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Author Alias - Filter data by the author alias of the original content. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- Platform - Display data by Platform, i.e., Android, Email, etc. This filter is applied to all data in this report.
- View Time By - This filter is applied to the 'Sharing Trends' data. Display data by month, day, quarter or week.
All Filters

All Filters > Content - Filter data by a specific campaign. This filter is applied to all data in this report. Only campaign data from the set 'Date Range' will be displayed. Use this filter if you have opened this report to gain further insight from:
- The Activity Type Breakdown section of the Campaign Results Summary.
- The Engagement Breakdown section of the Campaign Performance Report.

All Filters > User Attributes - Filter campaign data by specific user attributes. Ex. Filtering by 'City' will return data only for users in that city.
Limitation Note: When filtering by User Attributes > Select All, each attribute value is pulled into the URL once the report is filtered. Due to URL limitations, filtering by attributes with a very large number of values may return a 414 error.

Here is a map of how to read the Advocacy Insights report:
Top Sharers A list of your community's top sharers, in order of the highest shares per member within the selected date range. Who are your community's biggest advocacies? Who shouts the loudest and is proud of promoting from within? Do you reward members for high advocacy shares? Make sure your user attributes are up-to-date for instant access to these member's email addresses. |
Shares By Application The total number of shares split by which application they were shared to. What application are your members sharing to? Do you need to encourage alternative applications? Or focus on the most popular applications within your community? |

A look at when your members are sharing content Use the ‘View Time By’ filter to change this data by different time periods. Ex. For lengthy data ranges like this year, view this data by month or quarter. Does a peak or dip in shares say something about your community? Are they particularly vocal at certain times of the year? Have any recent campaigns promoted shares within your community? |
User Performance - Shares A more detailed table view of your top sharers that includes more of their engagement stats. Get a more holistic view of your members' engagement levels alongside their shares. |
